Background

The Corlette St Project has had a 24 month gestation. It is about our attempt to create a home designed to meet our current and future needs. Starting from the realisation of the need to move, viewing many houses, preparing house designs to meet every land possibility, through major life decisions we finally settled on a house in December 2009.Now in October 2010 after reasonable processes such as finalising designs, with the help of David Snellgrove from Alpha Design and obtaining builders quotes and through unreasonable delays such as the procedurally unfair DA process at NCC we are now at demolition stage.
It may look like we have been demolishing for some time as the success of our pre-demolition sale took its toll on the building with windows, floor boards, doors and many other part of the old house all sold. This has rendered the building worse for wear while we have waited for the official demolition to start. Jet Electrical (Thanks Michael) has disconnected the power and now we are ready for demolition! The fences and signs are up and Spero has started.

The builder Brent Caukwell, of BC Build has been patient while we wait for DA approval, and demolition to be completed. Hopefully this week it will be!!
